After being incredibly sick and playing a nasty game of catch-up, I am able to return to my regular schedule.
In my back log is concepts for my animation piece.
My attempt into these is making a vertical slice of what the film will feel, look, and be about.
This first piece here is me exploring what this story would look like if presented as photography.
As for the story I attempt to convey is when I was around 3, my parents and I moved into a townhouse. I was a mischievous child and often destroyed many things. I pulled off the vent covers and found entertainment in throwing things down into it. I somehow came about eggs, and threw them down there. Weeks later, winter pulls in and my parents turn the heat on for the first time. The whole house stunk, and because we lived there for a few weeks, my parent had called specialist to find the origin. There was even talk that is could have been a body. It was only eggs.
My next piece is a digital painting. Not much as a pianting do to my complete unexperience but any experience is good practice. Computer animation is industrial, economic, and easy. It also can cover 2D and 3D, and a mixture of two.
The story here is also personal due to a term coined phase as a Hugh-moment. A Hugh-moment is a sudden and short moment of complete confusion, and I wished to explore the situations in which they occurred.
My last concept is in charcoal, a very dark and dirty medium, that I personally favor the dusty look. The dust on the paper would give the animation a ghastly look, fitting the night setting in the concept.
This piece explores a recent time of my life. During a week away from home, I spent time with friends at the beach. This piece is to explore a time period I had went missing for 19 hours in the middle of the night.
Anyway, sorry for posting so late, and check in soon for my storyboard. Thank you.
